Grade 6 –

1. Complete vocab p. 89. Be sure to highlight the context clues!

2. Revise and edit your story up to the third roadblock. This means that you MUST refer to page 56 in your notebook (the editor’s challenge page) and follow the directions. The story you printed for class today should have marks all over it by the time you bring it back to class tomorrow. In addition, you MUST add three sentences to each part of the story in red pen on your sloppy copy. Finally, go back to the wiki. All of the sentences you printed in red pen on your sloppy copy must now be added to the story on the wiki.

Grade 8 –

1. Complete vocab p. 96

2. Complete p. 104 in the Handbook.

3. Chapter 6 should be finished by Tuesday.

January FISHy Questions

In January, there will be two ways to earn extra fish for your fishbowl.

1. You may participate in the writing/art contest sponsored by the West Morris chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women. All entries are due to Ms. Harris by the 30th of January if you do not want to have to deliver them yourselves. Review the rules that were handed out in class on 1/5. See Ms. Harris during Coach Class for assistance.

2. You may nominate up to two of your classmates for a FISH certificate. Get a form and a fish from Ms. Harris. Complete the paragraph about a classmate. Color the fish in and cut it out. Turn both in to Ms. Harris by the end of January.
